These two gunships make an excellent twin pack, although they have distinct differences in both build and stability.

Construction
The construction of the fuselage is strongly reminiscent of COBI airplane models. There is a stable base on which ample use is then made of reversing the building direction. There are no special construction techniques in this phase and the construction progresses quickly. The entire cockpit looks rather ugly thanks to the standard components. The mechanism for opening only works moderately. The front glass roof can still be opened slightly, while the rear one falls off immediately. The folding doors swing freely and are not countered at the back. As a result, they quickly go too far into the interior and have to be fetched out again. However, Sluban captured the shape of the MI-24 very well.
The side wings are attached at a slight angle. We then attach the massive guns to these, which unfortunately fall off at the slightest touch. Visually, however, the model looks absolutely great from the front and you are immediately reminded of one or the other film where the combat helicopter slowly emerges from a ravine. The undercarriage is also a little fiddly. The front tires slide down quickly. But the entire chassis can also be folded in completely so that it cannot be seen on a stand, which is not available here. Now only the rotor blades are missing and the model is finished.
Conclusion:
Visually, the MI-24 is a real eye-catcher. But you shouldn’t touch it. Smaller attachments like the turrets fall off very quickly. For a low price you get a nice model for the shelf or the showcase.

Construction
The structure of the fuselage is initially very similar to that of the MI-24. Due to the counter-rotating rotors, however, we need a little technology here in the interior. The cockpit looks much better on this model. The typical nose is also very successful. The weapon systems are also attached to 2 angled wings. Due to the double rotors, there is no need for a tail rotor on this model.
The landing gear is slightly more stable than the MI-24 and can also be folded. The different weapon systems are much more stable and do not fall off at the slightest touch. Sluban solved the rotor system well. It looks good visually and works as you would expect.
Conclusion:
Compared to the MI-24, the KA-52 is slightly smaller and much more stable. Here, too, the shape was well taken and at the low price you can’t go wrong.
