In this video there are 2 new tanks from Quan Guan and both are more than impressive. Quan Guan is also increasingly relying on its own parts instead of copies from other manufacturers.

Construction
As usual, construction begins with a base made of plates, on which the interior is built straight away. The motor is also built and installed very early on. However, it does not fit as Quan Guan intended. In order for it to be pushed in completely, a notch must be cut into the window that is to be placed in front of it. Then it’s on to the side walls and the rollers. The bricks can be placed surprisingly well and everything is very stable. Only here and there do you have to turn a tile over so that it can be placed without a hammer. This is a huge improvement on some previous models.
This time, Quan Guan has once again developed its own tracks. Some of you may already know the large version that was used on the Tiger. Now they are one stud shorter so that smaller models can also benefit from them. In the test, they run surprisingly well and only require minimal pressure to run smoothly even on smooth surfaces. The turret is quite small and therefore quick to build. Quan Guan does not use stickers, so all the writing and emblems are printed on the turret.
Conclusion:
With the interior fittings, improved brick quality, stability and new chains, this model is a real bargain. It also looks very good and looks great on the shelf.
IS-2

Building Time ca.: | 4 Hours |
Construction
The construction of the IS-2 begins in a similar way to that of the KV-1. The lower hull is very similar to that of the KV-1. Although it is built in a slightly different order, everything is just a little bigger and longer. The larger engine is also placed in front of a window, but sits a little higher and therefore does not cause any problems. The same wheels are used that were used on the KV-1. The tracks are a little wider, however.
The upper part of the hull is also built completely separately and then placed on a few studs on the lower hull. This works surprisingly well on both models. I have experienced completely different things with Quan Guan. Most of the hatches and covers can be removed very easily and you quickly get a look at the interior. The turret is a bit larger and even has a minimal interior – a loading device for the cannon. The machine gun on the turret is made up of molded parts, but looks correspondingly realistic. The only thing missing is the long cannon with muzzle brake, of which two different ones were included in the set. However, the other one cannot be installed at all.
Conclusion:
The IS-2 is also a great success. It was even easier to build than the KV-1, which required some reworking with the cutter. Together they look great on the shelf and represent the beginning and end of World War II in terms of heavy tanks of the Red Army.
