Construction
We start this model with plenty of plates from which the wings slowly form. They are covered with gray and blue tiles, some of which are printed in multiple colors. On the underside, the construction is reinforced with flat tiles, which COBI likes to use.
Now it is the turn of the front, which contains both the pilot’s cockpit and the two turbines. Together with the rear, which is also built separately, both parts are attached to the wing structure. The rear jet engine is completely closed and therefore looks unrealistic.
The middle section is also built separately and only then placed on the wings. The landing gear is similar to that of most other aircraft, but is not as stable and does not lock into place.
Instead of a molded part that is normally used at COBI, the rear wing is built entirely from bricks. The cockpit is a large, printed molding. The figure in this set is special. It only consists of the upper body, which is also a special construction. Both arms form a molded part that is narrow enough to fit into the cockpit.
Finally, we build the base, which differs only slightly from those of the other model.
Conclusion:
If you also like modern aircraft, you can safely put this model on the shelf. If you disregard the chassis, it is also stable enough to survive the children’s room.
