One might think of a bomber at this size and as such the P-38 was occasionally used. In this set, however, she’s a long-range fighter with no bombs at all.

Construction
The construction starts with plenty of plates, from which the 3-layer wing construction was created. Due to the construction, the rear wing is also significantly larger than on other aircraft. Instead of a center fuselage, 2 separate ones are built and placed on the wings.
The cockpit is significantly smaller and not connected to the actual fuselage. It is placed in the middle of the wing. The two engines are plain and contain large moldings.
Since there are no bombs or details of any kind, only the tail unit is missing and the P-38 is ready. The minifigure is quick to build and has plenty of space in the cockpit.
Conclusion:
Like its role model, the model is simple and poor in detail. In size and shape, however, it differs significantly from all other hunters. Therefore, it does well on the shelf among the smaller fighter planes.
