Construction
All modern vehicles from COBI were built in 1:35 scale and the Panzerhaubitze 2000 is no exception. However, even at this scale, a little more interior could have been built in. There are exactly 0 of them. There is also no engine, whether built or molded, or minifigures. However, most collectors will be able to live with this on the shelf, as you won’t see any of it anyway. Only part of the building fun has been cut back here. The actual structure is similar to that of most tank models. A hull made of plates, separately built side sections and a completely tiled top. The tracks run absolutely excellently, no matter what surface you are on.
The turret of this howitzer is of course massive and therefore takes up a large part of the entire structure. First, a massively filled frame is created, to which the side armour, which consists of 2 large, separately built parts, is then attached. The barrel is of course powerful and very long. Nevertheless, it holds in any position. This is absolutely not the case with the Bluebrixx self-propelled howitzer.
Conclusion:
As a collector and fan of the German army, you obviously have to have this model. It doesn’t matter that it doesn’t include any interior fittings, motor or mini-figures. The price is rather moderate for COBI standards. The quality is, as usual, excellent and it’s great fun to build.
