In most cases, copies are not welcome. In this case, however, it is an excellent idea and also superbly implemented. 1275 parts have to compete with 8000 parts.

Construction
In order to keep the underside free of studs, COBI is increasingly using the construction technique of using normal bricks and brackets instead of plates. These are placed on top of each other and then turned 90° and laid on their side. Plates are then placed on the brackets and we have a normal building surface on which the interior can then be built. Here, COBI has taken a strong cue from the big Tiger. The gear box and engine are a small copy of the 8000-piece giant. The opening for the turret is also very reminiscent of its big brother. After all, this turret is the first in 1:28 scale to offer a complete substructure for the gunner and loader.
Apart from these remarkable details, the tank is more of a copy of its predecessor. The tracks run excellently, as expected. The biggest difference is the entire area of the turret. The substructure is not easy to build, however. If you touch the wrong place, you will quickly end up with the individual parts in your hand. But that too is done at some point and then everything is quite stable.
Conclusion:
Even though there are no visible changes to the predecessor on the outside, apart from the camouflage color, the interior is impressive. The model was based on the 8000-piece Tiger 131 and the new model has a comparable interior and a much more authentic turret. The price is not exactly cheap, however, and this model is therefore not intended as a toy. Collectors and militaria fans get an excellent model.
