For a change, there is no tank today, even if we cannot do without tracks entirely with this model. The structure also differs significantly from other models.

Instructions
The instructions in the usual size contain 70 construction steps, which are divided into 2 construction phases. As it has been for a long time, the tabletop card is part of the instructions and must be cut out. At the end is the complete parts list for this set.
Construction
We start with this model completely differently than we are used to from tank models. Since the M3 has a steerable axle, this is built in the first step. Then we start with the body.
Because of the shape of this model, special techniques are used to shape parts like the fenders. COBI has come up with a lot here. After we have built the rear wing, the half track slowly but surely gets stability.
The half-track vehicle has various moving parts such as hatches, front armor and doors. The latter are completely built and adapt perfectly to the shape. At the front we attach 2 large rubber wheels and the rear part is strongly reminiscent of the construction of a tank. Only that we don’t have to tie as many chain links here.
Unfortunately, the tracks hardly run on any surface. You need a carpet. But this is more due to the small contact surface, as the tracks are basically very smooth-running. Since we’re building a tank destroyer here, a gun must of course also be used.
Finally, only a few small details are added. The set includes a minifigure, a nameplate and 4 grenades.
Conclusion:
This set uses some beautiful building techniques to work out the shapes. This means that the proportions are no longer correct compared to the minifigures. The M3 isn’t quite as detailed as the new Sherman, but it’s still a very chic model.
