Construction
We start the construction with the body of the small Jeep. Due to their size, wheel arches and bumpers can of course only be realized with molded parts. The larger 1:28 models also have plenty of them. However, the hood cannot be opened here and there is no built engine underneath. As an additional detail, there is a small shovel that the larger model does not have.
The machine gun is intended to simulate a large ammunition box, which, however, completely limits mobility. The weapon cannot be tilted. The small trailer is built in just a few steps and looks very smooth thanks to the reversal of construction direction. It can also be loaded with accessories such as an ammunition box, a radio and a sandbag. The two minifigures included both fit in the jeep, even if the legs of one are a bit too long. As a result, it doesn’t lock neatly into the seat.
Conclusion:
The set is a nice snack for in between meals. The 200 parts can be put together quickly and you get a stylish model with a trailer. The 1:35 discussion probably comes up again here, as more details would be possible at 1:28.
