Construction
We start with the Matilda, for which a thick block of plates is first built. This builds up tension that causes visible gaps. The open side skirts consist of 2 separate parts that are connected at the end by a single tile. They tend to fall apart when you open and close them. Don’t expect too much from the chains. However, if you use them on somewhat rougher surfaces, they run quite well. Overall, the tank gets quite a lot of detail for its scale and makes a good visual impression.
The ruin is built on large plates and consists only of the front wall. Under the bricks are several parts with intentional damage that simulate a shelled facade.
After a shot-up roof was built, it’s the turn of small details. These include printed signs, street lamps and a large faucet.
The Panzer 38 does not get a massive hull like the Matilda. Therefore, there are also fewer tensions in the construction there. Again, there are a number of details that give the model a beautiful look. The tracks run similar to the Matilda and also need a rougher surface to roll smoothly.
Conclusion:
The set offers a small but beautiful diorama that looks really good on the shelf. The construction went smoothly and there were no missing parts.
