After countless remakes, there is something new from COBI. It’s only a small vehicle and that’s on a scale of 1:35, but it’s still impressive.

Construction
As usual with COBI, we first build a massive block of plates that forms the hull. The details and the entire structure then come on top of this. For the side parts, COBI again relies on a weak connection of a single stud. Therefore, one or the other build occasionally falls off again. Since the model is quite small, you shouldn’t expect too much from the tracks. They are quite notchy and only run on rougher surfaces.
The Marder does not have a turret. Therefore, the gun is placed on an open structure. The lateral armor is held by only 2 studs and stabilized by a bar for the attached machine gun. There’s also a scared-looking minifigure and a small nameplate.
Conclusion:
While the 1:35 scale suits the minifigures better, the 1:28 scale is much better in terms of detail. I think there should be less focus on the minifigures as they will probably never reach Lego figure status. Instead, I think it makes more sense to focus on the actual military model, which isn’t available from market leaders. Otherwise it is a nice model and something new after the many remakes of the last time.
