After various modern tank models, 12 GO has brought another historical model onto the market with the Panther. However, the construction was a real challenge, as you can see in the video.

The beginning is quite unspectacular and similar to that of many other models, but it becomes a real challenge as it progresses. The tracks are put on quite early and run quite well, apart from the occasional slight snag. In contrast, widening the hull is hardly possible in places without glue. The wobbly construction quickly falls apart when new parts are pressed on. But even if you don’t touch them, components just bounce around. This is probably because the parts were bought from different manufacturers and are not really coordinated with one another. Frustration and pleasure alternate constantly in the following construction phases.

Once the hull is built and glued in places, it holds together quite well. The turret also has a rather wobbly interior. This makes it difficult to attach the large molded parts. Everything is printed, but a sticker with a Balkenkreuz is included for the turret. Once the gun has been glued, the turret and basket can be put into the hull and the model is finished.

Conclusion:

If you ignore the inconsistent quality and the fact that you have to glue things here and there, the model is quite authentic. There are a lot of details. However, I don’t like the yellow at all. It looks more like a beacon than camouflage. This is also a result of buying the bricks from various standard manufacturers. A nice tan is only possible if you produce them yourself, like COBI, Quan Guan or Sluban do.
