With the new version of the T-72, COBI is once again relying on the 1:35 scale. You can see how this compares to the 1:28 version in this video.

Construction
Even though an extremely massive hull is once again constructed in this model, a little space was left in the rear for a built engine. This has a fairly tight-fitting cover that can only be opened after completion if part of the turret is removed. Otherwise everything is as usual. The front, rear and sides are built separately and hull is completely tiled. The tracks run excellently even on smooth surfaces.
The turret has some details, but there is no reactive armor. There are 2 sets of printed parts included, so you can choose between the Soviet model and the NVA model. I simply chose both variants and a different national emblem on each side.
Conclusion:
The model is quite simple due to its size and I would always prefer the larger previous model. But COBI is increasingly using the smaller 1:35 scale because it fits the figures better. Most people don’t really care about the characters.
